I have a tarp stretched over my workbench on the north side of the house. A couple of nights ago I had to close the window shutters because it was windy and the tarp wasn't stretched tight any more and was flapping loudly.
I found both tie down stakes had gotten loose, so I used my 2-handed rammer and compacted the soil around the stakes. Then I drove the stakes all the way into the ground and retightened the tie-downs.
That lasted for one night before the tarp was flapping in the wind again. It turned out that the east stake wasn't driven in at much of an angle and had gotten wiggled out about 3 inches.
It was very easy to pull out. So I found a better place and a steeper angle to drive it back in to the end. Hopefully this tighten up will do the trick.
